A creative signature

Original signature

The signature viewed vertically and flipped over
A signature with a difference!  Such creativity in devising a signature with such significance.  The original signature may look like cursive version of a name but when it is flipped over and viewed from the other side and turned vertically, it is actually the Chinese version of the signee's name,Chen Guei Sheng.

Dabbling in jewelery-making

It was my first attempt at jewelery-making. I made a handful pieces of jewelery, all only for my own use.  Some are not too 'professionally-made', hence they don't get to be exhibited to people other than my family members.

I was not the only one who caught the jewelery-making 'bug'.  My sisters, just like me, invested in some raw materials consisting of crystal beads of various shapes and colours, some clasps, end caps and plastic threads.  I invested in a plier too.

So far, only a couple of pieces of these DIY jewelery got to be worn in public.

No styrofoam please

Nowadays, unless I forget, I will use my own plastic containers when I buy lunch for the kids.  Except for the trouble of having to wash the containers after usage, this is so much more environmental-friendly than the 'stubborn' boxes.  I call them stubborn as they are so stubborn to the earth, it takes more than a million years for these to decompose.

Papers are valuable

Have you noticed Ikea furniture are wrapped in paper as well as styrofoam? Ever wondered how these paper can be put to good use?

It is such a waste to see these paper ending up in the trash bin. These are not small pieces of paper but large ones. Well, I keep them, not for writing or drawing. I keep them so that I can reuse them to wrap my food leftovers which are to be thrown.

These papers are absorbent and so will come in useful. My mother is always hunting for papers to wrap leftovers before they are thrown into the dustbin. These are better than plastic bags which do not absorb liquid.

As for the carton boxes, they can earn you your breakfast, so think twice before discarding!

Value in your trash

Have you ever wondered what to do with these boxes each time you unload your grocery shopping bag? Worry no more as these will 'earn' you some money, at least for a 'teh-tarik' session.

I accumulate these boxes, bundle them up together with other carton boxes and sell them. There is no more inconvenience now that recycled items traders come to my doorstep. Each time, I pocket between RM5 to RM12 (by far the highest).

So, ladies! There is value in your trash!

Papers, paper boxes, carton boxes...

It pays to be patient. They are not useless afterall. In fact, keeping them for a while can earn a little money. Not less than RM5 each time. I managed to sell them twice already. Each time it's just a stack of newspaper and some paper and carton boxes.

I can't believe I did this flower arrangement

Flower arrangement! Never thought I am able to do this. The idea just popped out when I saw one flower arrangement at a home decor shop. Not even bothered to find out the price of the flower arrangement ( I assume those kind of stuff would be expensive), I proceeded to get the separate items for my little novice attempt.
